ED 407 Reflection:ED 407 Emerging Instructional Technologies was just the course I've been waiting for! Up until now, we've been learning how to create digital presentations, learning teaching strategies and learning technology integration. ED 407 really showed us HOW to use these technologies in the classroom and how important technology is to learning. For example, I had not heard of educreations.com unitl we made introduction videos for this class, which you can see right here to the left. I immediately saw so many ways that my students could use this site for projects and presentations.

Horizon Report:The Horizon Report is a report compiled regularly by the New Media Consortium, predicting time frames for the large scale adoption of new technologies into education, ranging from imminent to long term. It's fascinating to read things like predictions that Artificial Intelligence will be fully adopted into education within five years. It's also inspiring to learn that students will soon have access to holographic and 3D technology as well as interactive user interfaces. Imagine the possibilities!

Coding/Programming:
Before ED 407, I had never coded or programmed anything. It took some help from my 4th grader to get the hang of it, but once I did it was so fun! Coding is becoming integral and it will be an essential skill for our learners as they enter the work force.
